If you have not paid your 2026 dues you are not entitled to participate in Post 178 activities to include meetings, canteen access, dining room purchases or any other Legion activities. An individual's Membership expires on December 31st of the paid year shown on their card.
Staff, to include bartenders, can request presentation of current year membership card
for purchases and deny entry to anyone without current year membership.
► On January 1st a member is considered delinquent.
► On February 1st, if dues not paid, member is suspended.
► On June 30th, member dropped from Post 178 membership rolls.
Notice:
The New Card Entry System is having technical difficulties.
Starting January 1st, we will continue to use the existing card entry system (purple card)
until we get the issues worked out with the new entry system.
We will however be checking everyone's membership cards to ensure that you have paid your 2026 Dues.

We need all members to pay their 2026 dues. If you have not paid yet, please consider paying as soon as you can.
If you haven't paid you 2026 dues you have lost all your benefits that you have been entitled to through the Legion.
We need 170 to make 100%.

The Auxiliary is having their Annual Snowflake Raffle.
Tickets are available at the bar 8-for-$5.00.
All proceeds go toward their programs that they advocate for the Veterans and their families: Past, Present and Future! Thanks to the Legionnaires, Sons, Riders, 40&8 and Le Femmes for their generous donations.
The drawings will be held on Wednesday February 25, 2026.

Veterans Emergency Relief Fund.
We are pleased to report that we are starting a new fund to help Veterans in financial need. This is due to a contribution from a member of the Post. It will be named the Veterans Emergency Relief Fund or Jan’s Fund for short. Only Veterans of Post 178 will be eligible, and they must be able to demonstrate an actual financial emergency such as unpaid utility bills, medical bills, transportation costs, grocery shortages, etc. Each case will be vetted individually, and documentation will be required when available. In some cases, the Veteran may be accompanied by a member of the Post when they need to buy something such as groceries or medical appliances. Remember RED Shirt Friday is every Friday, (Remember Everyone Deployed) if you have your red shirt on? Buy two domestic beers or two well drinks get one free from 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM. We also have new Post T-Shirts in now in Red and Black.
If you are in the Building Fund and haven't put your money in yet you need to do so.
The New Attraction books are here, and they are on sale at the bar for $25.00. They are good till 12/31/2026.
The DAV located at 2987 Church St., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 is open every Wednesday from 9am till 2pm to help with any claims for disability you have.
There is a Collection Box up by the weekly sign in sheet and are asking for any donations that you all would like to contribute; the money goes to the Veterans and Children's Foundation.
Bingo is looking for volunteers to help out on Thursdays and Sundays.

Weekly Activities:
1. Bingo every Sunday and Thursday starting at 6:00 PM. Our Auxiliary will have food and other refreshments for sale. Come out and support the post.
Bingo this Superbowl Sunday February 7th will be at 2:00 PM instead of 6:00 PM.
2. Bowling is each Monday. Sign in starts at 3:30 PM, bowling starts at 4:00 PM. The kitchen will be open until 6:00 PM.
3. Team Trivia for February will be on Monday the 2nd, the 9th and the 16th at 6:00PM.
4. Wednesday night's dinner this week will be provided by the 40 & 8 and will be Goulash, Salad and Roll for $11.00. Karaoke follows the weekly drawing.
5. Friday night's dinner this week will be Steaks on the Grill, Potato, and Vegetable for $20.00. Flounder for $14.00. Karaoke at 6pm.
6. Lunch is served Monday through Saturday this week from 11: AM to 2:30 PM.
